Another place that i'd always been curious about - the outside reminded me of a great cafe back home. Me and my boyfriend stopped in for dinner one evening and we will definitely not be returning. Atmosphere: It's nice, french. The atmosphere was great. The staff was great. I don't go to restaurants to look at the decor though. The food: was bad. I got the french onion soup and it tasted like some sort of canned crap. I also asked the waitress if it came in a crock, and she said yes, and it does not (she was new, so I'll give her credit). I got a burger, which was okay, but nothing special. My boyfriend at this time can't even recall what he got. This was one of those places that halfway through the meal your like, "okay, so we probably won't come back here". After leaving and talking to friends about it next day (because it was that disappointing) I heard from several people this place is only good if your drunk or hungover the next morning. Applebees and Perkins are better then this place.

This trip was a bust. Food was terrible, waitress botched just about everything (but was very nice). The french dip was beef dust on a bun, with brown tasteless water for au jus. Fries were limp at best. I have had better experiences at mimi's, but I feel like this was not just an off day for this location.

I've been here before for breakfast and enjoyed it, but when I recently went for dinner I was not impressed with the selection on the menu and the salad I ordered made me feel very sick. Overall it seems like mediocre, overpriced food to me. Probably will not be trying it again.

Good food with a few healthy options on the menu, which is detailed to the nth degree on calorie amounts. Helpful to steer clear of the 1200+ calorie choices. Service was pleasant, but a little on the slow side.

Service is excellent. I ordered slow smoked eggs Benedict on a crossiont and the babe had patatos eggs Benedict. Omg they both were amazing. The patatos eggs Benedict were on mash creamy delicious mash patatos and my Benedict was on a crispy crissont. I highly recommend it.

Nothing was spectacular. I think people reviewing this place have never gone to anything besides a chain restaurant. I've been here several times and have always had mixed experiences. It has really gone downhill. A while ago I found they did a good job. The food was fresh. The servers where fast and attentive. The portions were reasonable. The last three times here that has not been the case. The food is not made well at all. The crepes are bland. Everything was dried out beyond the appropriate amount. (The plates were burning hot from the heat lamps). The portions were quite sparse (especially for the way it was plated). I got a omelette and the amount of salt was insufferable. It actually made my stomach feel upset. The mocha had silty chocolate in it. As you can see I usually write positive reviews. I just want to keep it honest. Don't come here. If you want French food that's fresh and satisfying I would go to La Tartine right up the road. I will say the sever was good but she was overwhelmed because she had 15 tops by herself.

Is it me or did Mimi's Cafe change their hand cut corned beef hash to canned corned beef hash? I remember going there and getting awesome, hand cut, non-canned, corned beef hash. Anyways, this is why I'm giving it two stars...because it tasted like it came out of a can.

I really liked it here! It's a really cute restaurant with a huge menu. I had such a hard time deciding what I wanted. The Mocha Latte was delicious and I will be back for that. The service was pretty good and I appreciated the free muffins they gave us on the way out after they heard we just moved to the area. I had the Quiche Lorraine and thought it was OK- a little cheesier than I expected and not as firm either. But the muffin that came with it was very yummy and I appreciated that it was warm. I think I will be a frequent guest of Mimi's- it's just my kind of place- a cute place with comfy booths, yummy mochas, good menu, and probably a great place to meet a friend for some tasty food and good conversation.

Overall, our experience here was pretty good. The bran muffin was extremely good. I'd go back just for that! I was a confused about the "fresh squeeze orange juice," though. When I saw them opening a new container of orange juice it seemed quite unlikely that it was "fresh squeezed." The orange juice was still okay, but this seems a bit misleading. Maybe they ran out of fresh squeezed and have a backup. It was really the amazing bran muffin that brought this from a 3 stars to 4 stars, though.

Worst eggs benedict we have ever had. Dirty carpets, table, film on everything meaning that deep cleaning doesn't happen. Lipstick on our coffee cup. Will never return and will spread the word. One star means that I couldn't select 0. If you like this place you really dont understand good food and hygiene.

We had a fairly disappointing family Mother's Day brunch here this past weekend. After making a reservation and showing up a few minutes beforehand, we were disappointed to see several groups who arrived after ours being seated before us because they knew the manager on duty. After finally being seated 15 minutes after our reserved time, we were herded back to a table that was still covered with food chunks all over the seats and floor. After a short eternity, the server came to take our drink orders. When they were delivered sometime later, one was incorrect. We received our food within a reasonable time, but were unimpressed, as everything was fairly bland. Overall, Mimi's strikes me as a bare step up from Perkins and Village Inn. Patrons are piled into this place which was clearly understaffed for the holiday. Food quality is mediocre at best. I regret changing from our "regular" Mother's Day spot and won't make that mistake again.

Haven't been here for awhile and was surprised at the new menu. Ordered the meatballs as a appetizer, even thought it was pretty tasty it came with a piece of hair cooked in it. Things happen and moved onto to the next course. I ordered the french pot roast. The french pot roast was not bad. The management came to my table and apologized for the meatballs and made up for it with a complimentary dessert. The waiter was attentive and polite. My visit was pleasant.

Went there for breakfast. Had the Santa Fe omlette. Onions & peppers weren't rendered down. Didn't taste the cilantro nor jalapeños that were suppose to be in it. Enjoyed my teaspoon of housemade guacamole. Just wish there was more of it. Ranch potatoes were good and so was the buttermilk muffin.

I would give them 6-stars if I could! Mimi's is a Sunday morning breakfast tradition in my household! My husband and I have been coming here for years- we just absolutely love the food, atmosphere, and the employees- they're great! I used to always order their Bayonne Benedict and Eggs Benedict but today I decided to try something new- 2 eggs over easy, pork sausage links, home fries, and corned beef hash. My goodness gracious I feel like no combination of words will do this meal justice. Absolutely scrumptious- and their coffee is strong, refreshing, and exactly how you would expect morning coffee to taste. Even at their busiest we have NEVER waited more than 10 minutes for a table. The restaurant is large and the hostess spreads everyone out so you aren't seated in one congested area (as some restaurants tend to do). My husband and I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a family dining experience with delicious food and employees who truly enjoy their jobs!

We came here after church one day because we always drive by it on our way home from anywhere on N. Academy and decided to try it out. So it was around 12:30 when we got there, and only waited for a table for about 3 minutes. We got sat by families with children so our son was very entertained watching the other little kids around him. The food was okay nothing amazing, regular but a bit upscale breakfast food. And the mimosa was good and came with a mini bottle of champagne to add more if you would like. But oh my gosh the muffins! The pumpkin muffin by far was my favorite! And when we left the manager gave us 5 different kind of muffins to take home since it was our first time there! I will be returning to this place!

We ordered out for pick up. The menu has totally changed. I have mixed feelings with that. I got the chicken cordon blue. The sand which was awesome but soggy fries. My husband got the hickory bacon cheeseburger, and he liked it a lot.

Love Mimis atmosphere and date night by fireplace....great french onion soup and amazing sandwiches. Only major disappointment is the bread pudding is no longer, bought some to bring home v and it was cinnamon BREAD, and no bourbon sauce but carmel, ice cream topping , so dont expect the great bread pudding of the past....but BOURBON BROTHERS HAS IT AND IS AMAZING. Sorry Mimis, you dropped an item than had kept us coming in.

Service was slow. I ordered turkey dinner and it was all cold. The gravy was watery and the spinach was covered with the gravy as well. My boyfriend ordered French dip and the meat tasted funny and the bread was soggy because the waitress spilled the sauce on it before serving it to us. They never asked us if we wanted refills on our drinks either. I have eaten at other mimis in other states and are great. Stay away from this one

We have had nothing but great service and food here. Even when the place is packed, the service has been unparalleled, and the food is always hot. There is one server in particular whose name I don't recall (younger guy with dark hair) who, despite it being a holiday and completely crowded, was polite, professional, and attentive. It was a great experience overall, and for us, continues to be so.

Came here for dinner, looking for some comfort food, due to the fact that Colorado's bipolar weathers got me sick! Unfortunately, the Chicken pot pie was SO good, they were out of that & that was our first choice! We settled on the Meatloaf & Turkey. Which were both really tasty! I've always loved the ambience of Mimi's, makes me feel like I'm in a Grandma's cottage.

Le bad. Don't ask about the meltdowns that led us here, as it was convenient for our large party headed out of town with things to do. I knew it was going to be bad, I lobbied against it, but the place I chose was 13 miles away in town. So I WENT WITH THE FLOW, which is always a bad idea. The menu is lacking biscuits and gravy, which a few of us wanted. But they had mimosas. Now the service here is really, really, really great, but the food is so pedestrian that I weep at spending money on something so clearly average. The potatoes, we agreed, tasted like dirt. Dried herbs are not a good idea. I had to cobble together a meal of sides, since they had nothing I liked. The fruit was sad, sorry melons with two grapes, half a strawberry, and a tiny sliver of pineapple. At least we had fun with the French theme.

The breakfast was good, but nothing to write home about. The breakfast options are very limited. Quaint atmosphere. Ask for your coffee to go at the end of your meal! If it's your first time here, they give you free muffins to take home!!

Meh... I spent the last 5 days in Colorado springs and this place was recommended to me. It's a nice looking place, but that's about it. The food was very, very subpar. I had quiche with salad and a muffin. The quiche comes frozen...not fresh. It came out and was cold in the middle. This really left a bad taste in my mouth - pun intended. The service was pretty good. My server was very nice. I would try this place again, only because the guy at the able next to me got a burger and it looked great. Other than that, nada.

We like coming to Mimi's for breakfast sometimes. The portions are huge and the food has been consistently good. It's nothing fancy or super special but it is a cute establishment for a chain restaurant. I have tried their Quiche Lorraine, which was very good and their croissant sandwich which is flaky and delicious. My husband usually gets pancakes and eggs and he is always happy with them. The service is ok. Sometimes better than others and the decor and atmosphere is definitely better in the main hall than in the small room they have on the left of the entrance. This smaller room is decorated with Lousiana/mardi grass decor vs. the main room has more of an old world charm decor and atmosphere with a wood burning fireplace too :) They have a cute "kids service" too. They bring out a small dish with saltines, some apples sauce, cheerios, crayons and paper and even a disposable bib. How handy is THAT? ^__^ Overall a good place for a chain restaurant!

What happened to Mimi's??? I used to *love* going here. Breakfast all day if you wanted, great service, extensive menu. That's all missing now. We went for a very late lunch (2:30pm) and were almost the only people in the place. Of course, as soon as we sat down they sat another party in the booth right next to us. Really? The new menu is limited, but we both found some things we thought would satisfy us. The lemonade was weak, obviously not fresh. I had a cup of tomato basil soup, which was very good, followed by a turkey and brie sandwich. I requested ciabatta bread instead of the normal croissant. When the order came out, it was on a croissant. I called it to the server's attention, and she said she'd get the corrected order out immediately. It took so long that my husband was half finished with his meal. The sandwich was flavorful, but it would have been nice if the brie had been even slightly melted. My husband ordered a small salad and the bouillabaisse, which was very good. It came with two small slices of crusty bread. He asked if he could have another piece (toward the end of the meal) and the server was very accommodating. However, it took almost ten minutes to get the bread to the table, at which point the soup was cold. While we were waiting, we sat and watched four servers stand around chatting. Hmmm... It was our anniversary, and I had a coupon for a free dessert (three small items). We took that with us (sans the ice cream). Two of the desserts were okay, but the chocolate brownie was overcooked and hard. Total bill? $40.00 Apparently the salad was full price (even though ordered with an entree), and when you ask for extra bread, it comes at a price. From now on if I want a sandwich and soup I'll go to Jason's deli. This makes me very sad, because Mimi's used to be one of my favorite chains and you could count on the consistency no matter what city you were in. Guess I'll stick to local places from now on.

Great service, i could tell that my waiter didnt want us waiting for anything. The service here was amazing and i havent gone to a mimis cafe in years. my wife randomly decided that she wanted to go here for breakfast on her birthday. there was no wait, but we did go on a week day, despite a low traffic hour other review seem to strengthen my experience and i look forward to going back. the food was great and again the service was phenominal.

I want to meet Mimi and let her know that she is legit. This menu is huge, there are so many options, and everything I tried was pretty tasty. My first time here, for dinner, I found out that the salad (entree) came with a muffin. Here I was ordering a salad to "be good" but ended up with a delicious chocolate-banana muffin, and with my salad and my muffin gone in short order, I think I sort of failed. But at least I ordered the PomZero - pomegranate and Sprite Zero mix - instead of the delicious looking smoothies/shakes. My next time was for lunch and I decided to be bad after a night out on the town. I went with the beer-battered fish and chips. The fish portion was HUGE. Very big. I went through the coconut shrimp salad like Godzilla eating a person of Japanese descent, yet I could not finish my fish. Nor the fries. Nor the coleslaw. And I only had a little teeny-tiny taste of the artichoke and spinach dip but it was awesome awesome awesome. Mimi knows what she is doing in the kitchen - she can make anything from pasta to fish to big juicy hamburger and she can make it look good.

The menu has the calories listed beside the dish... I like that, sort of... makes you think about what you will order at least. We had great service - Clay was our waiter and he was very attentive and had good suggestions on what to order. I had a cheeseburger - why, I have no idea, I usually don't order burgers, but it was really really good - had avo added to it (they will let you order from the lunch menu even if dinner time). We also ordered the Clam Chowder, and it was packed with clams and really good as well. We like the Chowder at BJ's, but it is a little more potatoey. Husband had the crepes, he liked it ok, he said he wished it had more mushrooms... it was supposed to be mushrooms and I think he had 1 in each crepe. We took a breadpudding home with us... rather on the small side, but still very good. I asked Clay why Mimi's didn't advertise.... we always forget about them when going out, and he said they were just bought by someone else and might be doing more advertising in the near future.

Great service and staff. Nice area to eat for breakfast and another area for lunch. Wonderful spicy bloody mary and spanish omelette. Each brunch comes with a muffin and juice. Very filling, been there twice and both times I had to take home some leftovers.

Along with a 3 prong fork, here I was served an expensive, small portion of mediocre food. Our waitress was friendly, but only did so-so on the service end of things. Tables and surroundings were not fully cleaned for the next occupant, but it was the Sunday lunch rush- if that makes it excusable. I never have been a fan of chains (was along for the ride) so I shouldn't beat up this one particularly...Just expect the typical for such a place and you should be happy. But to leave things on a nicer note, Mimi's Cafe offers on Sunday some self-serve punch, coffee and sweet bread for you to enjoy while you comfortably wait for your table.

*Meh*. That sums it up in a syllable. Took my mom here for her bday, it was her choice of places to go -- although she did mention some decadent sounding Italian place that I might take her to in Nov/Dec. She had the Chicken and Fresh Fruit salad (broiled chicken breast over baby spring greens, tomatoes and fresh fruit), and I ordered the Bistro Lamb Shank (simmered in red wine garlic sauce, with pan veggies, broiled asparagus and homemade mashed potatoes). Sounds damned tasty, doesn't it? If only it had turned out that way... My mom's salad...well...I don't know *exactly* what spring greens look like, but I can tell you there was nothing really "baby" and tender about the leaves. Her slice of melon was meh, not juicy and sweet, the red grapes looked average-ish, and honestly, it looked more like a "plastic salad" designed to illustrate what you might get, but not edible. Or like it was served on a garnish. You know? She did get a big muffin for later, and I prompted her, along with the waiter, to get the pumpkin spice one, because it just sounded awesome. My lamb was slightly underdone and there was not a big portion clinging to the shank bone... The asparagus was somewhat tough and stringy, even though it had been seared (apparently only on 1 side), and the mashed potatoes certainly *tasted* very potato-ey and not out ot a box/mix, but who knows? I will say it didn't taste very rich and savory and like I was hoping something from Mimi's might taste. It was more like boiled potatoes mashed up with a handheld potato masher and sprinkled with some oregano or something. *Meh*. The waiter made a few amusing quips to us, but tried a little too hard, I think. And although he found out it was my mom's bday, no offers made to comp anything, no special lagniappe (woo, big word! yay) offered, no anything. *Meh*. There's 3-star and shows promise, like I just reviewed Los Lagos, and there's 3-star because everything fell like a thud on the floor. The best I can say is it was passable, but not outstanding in any way. A sad contrast to my experience at Mimi's in Aurora, which was more 4 to 4 1/2 star.

My husband and I visited this location of Mimi's several times now, and we have found friendly service, great food, very nice atmosphere, and unique offerings on an extensive menu. Our most recent visit was tonight for our wedding anniversary. We casually mentioned it to the seating hostess, who notified our server and she wished us a happy anniversary. Nice start. She was very pleasant, and we found through conversation that we are all from the same home area back East. We arrived shortly prior to the end of happy hour and ordered the wine sampler, and our server assured us she could get the order in before the happy hour specials were over. A bit later, the manager came to our table. She introduced herself and explained that our server had put the order in with enough time but the computer wouldn't recognize the happy hour rate. However, she was having it adjusted for us. My husband ordered the Top Sirloin, and it turned out they were out of it, but she made several suggestions for an alternative and agreed to order a different cut of steak prepared the same way the sirloin was offered. She was very apologetic and we had no problem with the substitution (the steak was perfect!) The manager revisited our table at the close of the meal to also offer her congratulations on our anniversary and offered a complimentary dessert, which we ordered to go since we were completely stuffed. Bottom line - this is a great restaurant. If the experience is not 100% right, the management understands real customer service and communicates a real desire to make it right. We will certainly be back - haven't tried breakfast yet!

We like Mimi's - food & service, but we have noticed that prices have gone up. On this occasion, the hostess walked us straight back (to the 'kid' area) when there were numerous free booths & tables in front of the restaurant. She proceeded to seat us at a 5-6 seat horseshoe-shaped booth, but we were only 2 people! I asked if we could have a table for 2 up front, so she walked us to a nicer table. Also, one thing that grates on us - and it's not just Mimi's (also BJ's & Texas Roadhouse) - is that the hostess will ask, "How is your day going?" We hate that. Sometimes our day is not going well, but we don't want to be asked about it or discuss it with a stranger. We know it's small-talk, but, would rather do without. Food was good & we always return. Just don't ask us how our day is!!

My advice to Mimi: simplify. Not everyone wants a whole combination of stuff - can't a person just order pancakes, not lemon poppyseed pancakes that come with juice and meat and toast etc.? The menu didn't offer that many a la carte choices; the only option is to order a combination that includes more than you want (probably to justify the cost). Our waitress was kind of dingbat too, but I've had worse.

I was satisfied with all courses during our visit to Mimi's Cafe tonight. The bread was hot, fresh, and delicious. My corn chowder was the best I've ever had and my Cordon Bleu was fantastic. The breading was crispy and the chicken was moist. I made mine a combo and added the soup and a petite desert for only $3 more... the size of my bread pudding (and the taste) was impressive as well. We had a bottle of chardonnay wine and it was great. The server was very formal in her presentation of the wine, too, which was nice. You can expect to spend $15-20 per person for dinner, but it's money well spent. We'll definitely try the Loveland location after we return to Fort Collins.

Absolutely five stars. There was a little bit of a wait but only because this place was awesome. Best pancakes I have ever tasted, the coffee was superb but more importantly - the staff was professional, friendly and had great customer service. A special shout out to our server Chris, who was just an absolutely gem. She went above and beyond to make our large family feel welcome and she had the best customer service I have seen in a long time. We will definitely be back!!

I've always liked the muffins here - fresh, soft and not dried out. Came here for breakfast with a friend. I had the Pumpkin Pancakes (seasonal), which were accompanied by two eggs and four rashers of bacon. Everything was really good! The pancakes were fluffy. The eggs, scrambled, were also fluffy and not vulcanised clumps. And the bacon - oh, the bacon - perfectly prepared, hot, not fatty, but nice meaty rashers. I could have made a meal on the bacon alone. The server was really good about keeping the coffee topped off as well. We stayed for several hours and didn't feel rushed to get going.

Ambiance: Cute, storybook atmosphere. Sort of faux-old world European. Service: Friendly and adequate. Food: I used to think this was really good when they first opened, now the novelty has worn off and I think the places is just "good" - though much better still than most chains. French toast and pancakes are good. Not impressed with their eggs benedict (thick slices of ham instead of the traditional thin slices of canadian bacon) -- Also poor holandaise sauce, tastes like it was made from a dry-ingredient packet. Decent salads and sandwiches for lunch (very similar to those who are familiar with Marie Calender's.) Overall, I like this place ok, but is no longer "destination" dining for me. I am sort of ambivalent about this place.

Lovely bistro with a "homey" feeling. Their soups are terrific and our waiter, Daniel is by far one of the best waiters ever! Our 8mo old son received a plate with a small serving of applesauce, cheerios, a cracker, a bib and a wet wipe. Very nice especially because all we asked for was a highchair. My only teeny tiny issue was that my salad was over dressed which is personal pref. since I like my greens near naked. This was our first time eating here and the manager came to our table and gave us FREE pack of muffins just for giving Mimi's Cafe a try! My family and I highly recommend this place and will definately come back again!

I must say that this is a difficult review for me. I used to go here pretty regularly with a friend- and I remember thoroughly enjoying the breakfast's here. The friendship ended and so did my coming here- not because the food was bad- I just forgot about the place. Some time passed and I went there recently- the food is still good- but not as good as I remember. I think Mimi's is a cute looking place. The outside resembles a cottage- something you might see at Disney World and inside has all kinds of knick-knacks and decorations. Cute/quaint and it smells wonderful. The main dished I loved was the buttermilk pancake breakfast . Traditional and tasty. This is a big breakfast that comes with 3-4 pancakes, 2 eggs cooked how you like and the choice of bacon or sausage. Get the half order and you reduce it by- you guessed it!- half. A year ago I would have said that this breakfast can't be beat. Fluffy pancakes, eggs just how you like them and nice spicy sausage. But now- after exploring the local joints the Springs and Manitou have to offer- it's meh. Mimi's is an improvement over Cracker Barrel but you are getting a generic big breakfast at a chain restaurant. It's good but not great. Should you choose this place I recommend making a reservation. Like Denny's, Cracker Barrel, etc... it does get busy during breakfast/brunch time- but take my advice support the local community and check out a mom and pop shop- less of a crowd and better food!

Certainly one of my favorites as far as chain restaurants go. My personal favorite is the corn chowder...SO delicious. The soups are the restaurant's major draws for my family and I, we even keep a take out menu at home so we can keep track of which soup they'll be offering on which day of the week and time our visits accordingly. And they come at a good price too. Plus, the huge muffins and tasty desserts are pretty hard to pass up if you can save room... Quality.

Best place in the Springs to go for brunch! We like to come here after Sunday services for their great selection of food and great service.

(3)Carroll H.

(5)Crystal D.

(2)Joseph R.
The breakfast was good, but nothing to write home about. The breakfast options are very limited. Quaint atmosphere. Ask for your coffee to go at the end of your meal! If it's your first time here, they give you free muffins to take home!!
(3)Daniel J.

For a chain restaurant, I loved it!! There food is great, service good, and pleasant environment. Definitely recommend;)

Food is food. The best part of Mimi's Cafe is you get free muffins if you say it's your first time there.

(4)Heather G.
Finally, we've had good service at a Mimi's. The food was delicious as normal!
(4)Michelle G.
(2)Seth J.
(5)Ashley D.
(5)Victoria H.
(4)Sibby S.
(3)Johna S.
(5)Desiree R.
(3)Annabelle N.
Quality.
